Ear candles have a purely physical function. A light suction action (chimney effect) and the movement of the flame create a vibration of air in the ear candle, generating a massage like effect on the eardrum. At the same time, important acupuncture points and reflex points are stimulated.
This induces a pleasant feeling of warmth and a balance of pressure in the ears, forehead and sinuses. It is soothing and helpful for headaches, ear noise, stress and nervousness. It is ideal before air travel helping to prevent earache and following air travel by helping to balance the ear pressure. Biosun ear candles have been used for centuries, by the Hopi Indians, for their specific healing qualities and contain Chamomile, Sage, St John’s Wort and Honey. Both ears are treated and this is followed by a pressure point massage to the face and scalp. Wonderfully relaxing.
